Adjective or adverb?
We use an adjective to describe a noun (a thing) here are a few examples:
(the blue word is the noun)
- It is a big tree.
- She is an intelligent student.
- He is a quiet boy.
We use an adverb to describe a verb (a doing word) here are a few examples:
(the red word is the verb, the green word is the adverb)
- The tree moves slowly in the wind.
- She studies intelligently.
- The boy walks quietly.
